"Three photos w figures, etching of urn"
Donated to Laguna Art Museum in 1999 as one of 109 works
Exhibited Laurie Rubin:'Nauman, Sherman, Boskovich', 1988;
catalog/ill. '88 John Boskovich George Pocari' Rubin
Exhibited Laguna Art Museum 1998-9 "Life Lessons: How Art Can Change Your Life"
The title comes from Keats' poem, Ode To A Grecian Urn. The floating pajama-clad figure of the artist above the scenes of a seance suggests the ghosts of unknown, unidentified history that disturb rest, that make sleep elusive. This is an earlier treatment of the shipwreck theme. It's a more refined, intellectual approach to a pretty raw experience.
