Here is a wonderful precious relic - but it's not the Bayeux Tapestry. It questions what gives value to objects: is it because they are old, or elegantly crafted, or...Abeles even took color chips to the antiquities rooms of the County Museum to be sure that this display case would fit right in when it was recognized as a treasure.
