Judy and I both liked Demuth's "Figure 5", and when we saw Dave Rushing's sketch for this, we said :"We love it - we'll buy it when it's finished". Later we knew it was a perilous offer. He earned our respect by not reworking it into what he thought we might prefer, and for not taking advantage of the unspecified price. And we still love it.
