Gates is of course Darryl as well as Rodin, as Sandow Birk continues his campaign of reminding us that the mythic dimensions of history are being created over and over every day. Can you spot the familiar videotape scene? The ghostly figures near the bottom seem like references to the ancient sackings of cities. This piece, like North Swell, links with Kubler.
