When Heresy showed a series of his flag sculptures at Laguna in 1990, this piece became something of a cause célèbre because we and the curator decided to leave it out of the show so that it would not draw attention away from the other work. But Heresy called us (and the Press) on it! This is the statement he wanted to make, and we respect and value it. We showed it in 1999 with a "viewer discretion" notice, and without protest. Thank you, people of Laguna!
